Chester is a heritage city in the west of England and the gateway to North Wales. A pretty city with lots of black-and-white Tudor architecture. The Cathedral is old, but the Roman ruins are older. You can walk along the walls. The Groves, alongside the River Dee, is perfect for picnics or renting boats. Chester Zoo and Chester Raceourse make for good days out. |
